My quest in making money online

This is not a sponsored post just in case you guys are wondering about it. ;)

Nowadays, I'm trying various way to supplement my income with doing lots of things. I registered in many websites, bidding in lots of job, answering lots of survey and etc. Even if you see this site, its has 3 adsense banner. At the top, sidebar and at the bottom. At first I want to put it between the entry but I think I don't want to force my visitors (if I has any) to click on the ads, so, thats why I'm making the ads very clear for you to see. In my mind, if you really like the ads, you will click it. So, I don't mind about the amount of money generated by adsense.

I also participated in getafreelancer where every registered freelancer will bid on certain projects provided by the provider. Because I only 'expert' in ASP, so I only bid on ASP projects. I think I need to broaden my knowledge so I could bid on as many projects as I can. Because you don't know how much projects you can get from the bidding.

Beside that I also submitted a few of my writing (reviews, installation guide and etc) to certain editors on the net. At least I could has side income every month if they choose me as their writer. I want to test as many softwares and games as I can but testing without any kind of motivation make it harder for me to do it. Money motivation I think is a good motivation and furthermore the money that I will earn (if they pick me), is in US dollar. At least I could help to add into Malaysia currency reserves. :) (oklah, actually I do it for myself. Gaining US dollar that is 3 times than Malaysia ringgit is a very attractive to me).

Answering one surver a month is also another think that becoming a normal routine in my life. I've registered in Planet Pulse and also in few other survey sites. I've answered survey related to credit cards, electronic items, and others. But I think its worth it. If you would like to join, please tell me your e-mails and I will invite you to join.

Do you guys know about Agloco? I only know about it yesterday. Some people are sceptical about it and some others have joined the program. But since it is not started yet (the program I mean), so, most people just wait and see. But I already registered as members since I don't has to pay anything. If you don't have to pay anything why bother right. So, I just registered. I'm not sure whether I want to recommend the program to you but if you want to try it, click here. Read first before you join because I don't want you to blame me if anything wrong happened.

Oh, before you started to join any of this programs make sure you've got Paypal account. Most of the programs will transfer the money into you paypal account once you reached the minimum amount.

If I want to talk about all the programs that I've already joined, it will take me a long time to write about it. So, I think I better stop here. Ja ne!

Happy Holiday everyone

Starting tomorrow it will be a long weekends for most people. 26th April, Sultan of Terengganu will be installed as the next Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Malaysia. The government has agreed to made 26th April as a holiday for government servants. Some of my friends already took leave on 27th and 30th. On 1st May it is a labour day and because Wesak Day also fall on the 1st May so, the government also agreed to declare 2nd May as a public holiday. So, if you include Saturday and Sunday, it is almost one week holiday for most people. For me, I will work on 27th and 30th since I've got so many things to do. And also my wife will take CCNA exam on 28th. I'm not planning to go anywhere because of the fund shortage. ;)

Anyway, happy holiday everyone. Enjoy your holiday because I know I will enjoy mine. :D

This blog

As you can see, I've made a few changes into this blog. I still try to incorporate my own template in this blog but to no avail. Maybe I need to learn about how to use the widget tag. If I has free time, I will try again but now I've been busy studying for incoming exam next month. Exam for government staff. For promotion and salary increase. I hope I will pass this exam. Why hope? Because my last exam is disaster. I need to repeat it 3 times before I passed it. How tiring.

I still continue writing my experience in Japan but its a slow process. With so many works and responsibilites right now made me too lazy to write. And also its been months since I came back from Japan. I'm lucky because I took lots of pics and save it in my laptop. So, I can still remember most of the things happened. I also writing the experience in BM and its more details than English version since the BM version is for me and friends that I know. But the very private events still remains private. Some of the moments cannot be describe in words such as when I walked to the bay with my friends. The moments at that time is worth a lot. Still miss them all.

Maybe I never expressed this but deep in my heart, I want to go back there to Japan. Its not because of the free society but its the situation there. I can't describe it but I think I can adapt to the environment. Everyday I read the news about Japan. One day I hope I will be there again. Maybe as IT workers or just as tourist. Sometimes, I searched the web for jobs in Japan. That's why I know about jobs opening in NEC. And also the thing that made me want to go back there is because I didn't stressed out on the road. Here, almost everyday I've been stuck on the road and watching behaviour of unresponsible driver. Driver that always cut queue and that didn't give signal when they want to turn. There, everywhere I went, I using the train. But if I want to go there again, I want to bring my family. Every night I miss my wife. Every night when I was at Japan. Every night I call her.

Heh, I really miss the moment at Japan I guess. I miss Chart's joke, Htet happy go lucky behaviour, Koko, A, Emma and all of you. Heck, sometimes I remember when we played Counter Strike at the cafe, going out at the night when the wind was so strong and the weather was so cold, walking to Jusco, ride in the train, watching the Japanese walking to their destination, choosing food to eat, doing programming at the lobby, attempt to ask direction from Japanese. Hehehe..its really worth every moment to go there. Its help built my character a little bit (still can't follow every aspect of Japanese life).

Back to the topic, as you can see, I still not putting my e-mail back in this blog. I still use the same email but please don't spam my mailbox. Oh, you can still send those mp3 or anything that you think I will appreciate but please no email about "How to enlarge your penis/breast" or "Viagra promotion" or etc. And also please don't send racist e-mail to me and if you want to forward something like "we can't eat this because its contain un-halal product", please check your facts first. Most of the forward email that I get sometimes is incorrect. Its not untrue but incorrect. Hehehe..but feel free to email me. :)

Another thing, will I continue my anime review? Yup. Will continue but not now. Maybe later. I love anime and I want to promote it. So, I will still continue my anime review.

As you can see also, I still write a little bit about current issues in Malaysia. I can't help it because sometimes I want to express something and since I has this blog, so, this is the place where I express my thinking and feeling.

Anyway, from time to time, I will change try to made some more changes here. So, if you have any comment, feel free to write to me. I open my comment section also for anonymous comments.

Jobs offer

I'm being good today. For those who looking for jobs, don't despair. This blog will link you to the jobs offer by some of the best company in Malaysia (I hope so). Some of the jobs are not advertised in any media except on the company websites. Without further ado, I will put it here.

John Galts Games Malaysia offering lots of jobs position in Malaysia. Before this, it is known as Phoenix something-something(I forgot) that developed local MMORPG that is Fung Wan Online (is the name correct?). JGG Malaysia is offering jobs as Game Scripter, Game Designer, 3D Modeler/Animator, Game Programmer, Web Designer, Concept/Texture Artist, Tool Programmer, Server Programmer, DB Programmer, Flash & Web Programmer. If you are interested with the jobs, please apply at JGG website (as linked at the above).

Al Rajhi Bank is being called among the largest Islamic bank in the world (or is it the Islamic bank that has the largest fund?) is already opening branches in Malaysia. From its website and news, it is said that they will opening another branches soon here. They are offering some job positions for their branches in Malaysia. So, head there folks.

Nova Scotia bank is opening their 4th branches in Malaysia (near Bukit Jambul Shopping Complex) several months ago. They are already in Malaysia for 33 years and it looked like they will grow from 4 branches into several more in years to come. For now, the only opening is for accounting clerk position but I think they will offer more jobs in years to come.

Shell is a company that I does not has to introduce to most of you. Its has established its presence in Malaysia for years now. I've trying to search for vacancies at Shell Malaysia but I only found from Where to Work website. Okay, I found it. Go to this site. My search skill still great after all. Heh.

NEC Corporation is one of the best IT corporation in Asia. In Malaysia we've known it as one of computer and projector brand in the market. Besides that, NEC Malaysia also aim to become a total solution provider for businesses in Malaysia. It has several jobs offering on its Malaysia website (for 2 months now I see that the jobs offering is still there). Click here to see the jobs offering at NEC Malaysia.

There are other jobs opening from other companies that I receive from my juniors almost everyday. If I has the opportunity, I will post it in my blog. Oh, why I do this? It is because I always heard this phrase "There is no jobs out there for me". You are wrong folks. There are many jobs out there. You just need to search for it. If some of you like to try for jobs opening that I've already listed here in my blog, please do so. Oh, I don't has any relations with any companies that I listed here in my blog. They didn't give me anything (in cash or items) for me to post their jobs offering here. I just do it because I want to help you people. That's all. So, folks, go to the links that I've provided and read on how to apply for the jobs.

Pilihanraya Ijok (Ijok Election)

Do you see the visual where the ugly incident happened during 'penamaan calon' process at Ijok? Really stupid for both camps. Yeah, both PKR and BN supporters are stupid. Bodoh la korang nih. Buat apa baling-baling botol air tuh. Siap baling kayu lagi. Aku malas la nak cakap sape-sape yang start sebab aku pun tak percaya gak dalam berita TV. Maybe BN, maybe Keadilan.

Yang bertanding bukan korang. Tapi dua orang yang dinamakan sebagai calon. Yang korang susah-susah nak bergaduh kat tengah-tengah tuh apahal. Ni yang aku malas nak vote waktu pilihanraya nih. Sudah-sudah ler buat incident yang bodoh-bodoh tuh. Macam budak-budak ingusan yang merempit kat tengah jalan waktu malam buta tuh. Ke memang penyokong korang budak-budak ingusan tu? Budak-budak bodoh yang aku dengan penduduk kat sini selalu doakan supaya mati tersepit bawah lori waktu race. Hahahaha..

Berbalik pada pilihanraya kat Ijok. Udah-udah la bergaduh. Ari tuh ahli MIC pukul ahli DAP. Tapi senyap. Pas nih apa lak? Ada orang mati waktu pilihanraya sebab kena pukul? Aduih. Sebab tuh la orang luar cakap kita masih tinggal 'atas pokok'. Cuba tengok. Waktu penamaan calon pun boleh bergaduh. Tu penamaan calon. Cuba waktu berkempen nanti. Nak berbunuh pulak ke? Kalau macam nih lah keadaan nya, sebab tu la ramai kawan-kawan aku malas nak masuk politik.

Oklah. Kalau aku sambung banyak-banyak karang, banyak lak aku kutuk korang. Banyak lak dosa yang aku dapat. Tapi ubah-ubah la perangai. Sedar sikit, rakyat-rakyat biasa nih tengok dari tepi. Jadi la matang sikit. Malaysia pun dah masuk 50 tahun dah. Takkan situasi politik kita masih lagi merangkak kot?

High Yield Investment Program - HYIP

Since several months ago, HYIP is becoming the top issues discussed in Malaysia. Why is the top issues? Because Buletin Utama (the most famous news program during Primetime cover the issue almost thoroughly).

I'm not sure how many Malaysian are affected by this programs but I sincerely sympathize with those join the programs because of others. I know some of them lost thousands of ringgit into the programs.

For those who still didn't join HYIPs, don't join. Because they does not provide you with agreement like banks, and legal funds does. And also they does not fall under Bank Negara legal jurisdiction (in other words, they does not register).

Back to the HYIPs. I really puzzled how people can join this programs in the first place and using your own money. If it is me, I will asked around or search from the Internet. Even at my office, some people know that I know more about HYIPs than I want to reveal. You know why? Because I don't want to hurt other people and say that they are stupid to join the programs from the Internet.

When you pour money into legal funds (insurance policy, pension funds, long term saving account, trust funds and etc) you will be given Terms and Conditions and also need to sign an agreement with the institutions. You still lost the funds if you withdraw in a short term but in long term, the team (funds company) will made sure you will get the profits. And also if something happen (like the company is closed or they cheated you) you can take legal action on them.

I laugh when I saw one of the victims asked government to protect them from the scam investment. Aduih, takkan government need to do everything to protect us. You already grown up, you suppose to know that the investment is a scam. If you do not know, refer to anybody that know about the program. You can asked me. I lose US$50 (not my money) in the HYIPs. I know that some of other people know better than me, but I can also help you.

Why I didn't join Swisscash, E-barrel and other that you need to transfer the fund using wire transfer? Because I smell something funny about it. I still remember the Nigeria's scam that need you to transfer your 'hard earned' money through wire transfer and then they were gone after they got the money. E-barrel and Swisscash use the same method as Nigeria's scam but in different 'flavor'. Instead of promising you to get cash from 'royal family' or 'millionaire general' or other 'rich person', they promise you will get rich by 'investing' your money. Yeah, yeah..I know that some people gain a lot from the programs. I also get some profits (although not big enough for me to retire from USM and has an happy life with my family) from the programs. I admit the money that I invest in HYIPs is the profit that I got from other HYIPs. But you must know when you need to join the programs.

I know Swisscash since 2005. I think somewhere around middle of 2005. I stumble upon the site. At those time, I desperately need cash for me. The Swisscash promised to return the initial fund and profits to me after 18 months. But I didn't joined because I need to wire transfer the money. Since then, I heard many people join the program. Still I am not tempted to join. Some of my friends already asked me why I do not join it. I laugh in front of their face when they tried to explain Swisscash and e-barrel to me. In my heart, "How dare you 'new guy' want to explain this scam to me?". Even the person that I do not know (I only know him on that day), try to coax me to participate. Why they tried so hard? Because they got income when you join them. 10% from your initial investment will go to them. And I remember one guy show me his statement in Swisscash website. So, at that time I used Obi argument : "The money is not your money when it is not in your hand (or bank account)". Using this argument, I asked the guy for his bank statement. His faced turned to red because he can't produce his bank statement. Ahaks. If you can't produce your bank statement how people can join laa. Stupid.

Back to my story. After Swisscash, I know other programs. At that time, I already registered an e-gold account and I've got 2 persons under me. Then I found one programs that allow you to transfer at least US$5 using any method to start investing. In my e-gold account I've got US$7++. So, I start investing $6 into it. They promised that they will send daily return into my e-gold account. Yeah, truly to their words, I've got the daily return. So, one month after that, I put another $5 into the account. 2 weeks later the website is closed. Oh shit! But I manage to get back my $12 from the program. But poor those latecomers. They lost entirely their money. Starting from that point, I tried one after another HYIPs (you can asked one of my friends about it. He see me invest on that programs). I lost some, I got some. So, in total from my initial $7 in my account, I've manage to get it to the tens of dollar. Not bad huh. But as I said I lose some, I got some. When you venture into HYIP's world, the thing that you need to remember, invest fast and withdraw fast. Don't invest in large sum of money. Even when someone said, the web admin is their friend.

But the thing is, it is better if you don't venture into HYIP's world. It is full with greedy people and liars. People will lied to get your money (including me). And this people using 'greed' in human to manipulate you into investing in their website. If you lose your money nobody can refund it back to you. If you really has lots of money, meet me. I will introduce you to some of people that I know (they manage trust funds). So, you could invest your money there. Or better if you are a Bumiputera put your money into ASB. Then put your ASB's book in bank's safe deposit. Don't withdraw it until 10 years later. Or better 20 years later. Or after you are retired. That is what will I do to my money in EPF.

Isu Lojing

Sorry folks. This entry will be fully in Malay.

Dari mula isu Lojing nih diutarakan oleh pihak TV3, aku nak jugak komen tapi aku simpan. Nak tengok sampai mana salah menyalah nih akan berterusan. Malu jugak jadik rakyat Malaysia bila isu nih diketengahkan oleh media. Kerajaan pusat salahkan kerajaan Kelantan, kerajaan Kelantan sekarang salahkan kerajaan Kelantan dulu.

Lojing tuh tempat tadahan air, tempat 'penapisan' udara. Ish, mesti sape-sape tebang pokok tuh tak penah belajar Geografi.

4. Kenapa baru sekarang dedah? Kalau aku tengok kemusnahan kat situ, macam dah lama. Persoalannya, kenapa bila sekarang ada ura-ura pilihanraya akan dijalankan tahun nih, baru semua tergedik-gedik nak turun padang? Kenapa tak sebelum nih? Persoalan sekarang kenapa? Bukan aku tak suka. Aku suka. Kalau diaorang cedera ringan je, campak lagi sampai kaki tangan diaorg patah. Lepas tuh, biar diaorg rawat sendirik. (Patutnya ahli Parlimen kena buat akta kejam macam nih. Baru orang takut. Kalau terima rasuah, bakar semua duit rasuah tu depan mata diaorg. Muahahahaa).

Tapi apa-apa pun wahai kerajaan negeri Kelantan dan kerajaan Malaysia, bekerjasama la antara satu sama lain. Jangan la salah menyalah. Bodo aa korang nih. Suruh kakitangan kerajaan kerja dengan produktif, jangan salah menyalah. Tapi nih tengok, orang-orang kat atas tunding menuding, so, macam manalah orang-orang kat bawah nih tak ikut. Aduih...Fikir laa. Pak Lah marah jangan jawab menjawab dalam media. Nih pun jawab menjawab dalam media la pasal isu Lojing nih.

Ish..pening aa. Aku tak rasa pun orang-orang besar baca blog aku. Cuma entah ler. Rasa cam terkilan. Be gentleman la. Terima la kenyataan kedua-dua kerajaan bersalah. Kerajaan negeri salah, kerajaan persekutuan salah. Pastu selesaikan la masalah tuh dengan produktif. Jangan la bergaduh-gaduh dalam media nih. Tak elok bebudak bawah umur tengok.

Nurturing critical thinking

I read from The Star Online tonight about Deputy Higher Education Minister that said many young Malaysian cannot think critically.

These are the questions back to the Ministries both Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education (yeah, we have two ministry that foresee education in Malaysia. How lucky) :

1. How to build a thinking student when you always been shut up by the teachers? I am like this because in my whole life, people never tried to shut me. My uncles and my parents always answer my questions. Although sometimes they can't answer it, they will buy me lots of books. I've got an Atlas when I was 8 years old. Maybe for other kids (a very advance kids) owning an atlas when you are 8 years old is normal but considering that my parents are government staff and their salary is not that high, I considered myself lucky. My parents never care I spend my allowance on books. I never like school that much. Or could I said that I never like art and P.E much. I know I'm creative but not in art. And I hate P.E because I think its not relevant. After P.E you always sweat a lot. Trying to concentrate when you are sweating (because of P.E) is tough for me.

2. Parents are too protective nowadays. My parents also protective with my 3 youngest siblings. Giving room to your child to learn what they like. Never pressure them to take something they never like. I like martial arts and computers since I'm young. So, I asked my parents to allow me to join taekwando and computer class. They allow me and my sisters to participate (my sister participate in computer class). When I filled up my UPU forms (for those that are not Malaysian, UPU forms is for you to choose which universities that you like to enter after SPM). My parents never force me to choose something I don't like. But my uncles were. My uncles would like me to choose medical field. I felt in love with computer and electrical engineering. I make my own decision. My parents just said about advantages and disadvantages of each universities to me.

3. Exposure for each course or field. Do the ministry do a road-show to explain about the course (what will they learn and etc) to the students? I think it is necessary. When I was at the boarding school, several people come to explain about some courses. We even had army come and explain potential careers with armed forces. We can spend millions of ringgit into building a new palace; billion of ringgit into building new highway (although the existing highway is more than enough I think); million into buying executive jet but why not spend it into organizing a road-show each year to each states (if not schools) to explain about existing fields and the potential careers with it. Why the roadshow? Because not many students know about what are the field offered by the universities and the potential careers. I only know about Food Technology courses when I was in USM. Now with new field like Biotech, Nanotech and etc, I think the ministry need to do the roadshow. The students (and parents) need to know that there are other fields beside engineering, medical and pharmacy.

4. To build a critical thinking, it must be nurture from a very young age. You can't expect to nurture the critical thinking in overnight. Could you see that our government also too protective? Our education system didn't allow students to build critical and creative thinking. You must follow the teacher. Even when the teacher is not right, never question it. Don't forget the schema when answering exam questions. Don't do any other thing in computer class except following the teachers example. Our education system is too protective and only allow a single way to do it. When the students come out into the real world, they will be shocked because you can do a thing in many ways.
5. Yesterday, one practical student asked me why the web server is not working. The problem is because of some mistake in configuration file. If the student search the Internet, the student can found the solution immediately. Yeah, that the other problem. Because the student always got solutions from teachers and lecturers they lost their ability to survive by themselves when nobody is not around to teach them. Have the ability to survive can also nurture your thinking. One of the task of my final year project was to build a PC cluster. Only a few people at USM at that time that know how to build a PC cluster. Its hard to get the knowledge from them. So, the other solution was to go into 'unknown' world of Internet. Searching is not fun at that time but I manage to get it done. (oh, in case someone wonders how can I find so many e-books and stuffs, it is because I use search engine a lot). Independence when you study things are good. Really good.

I must admit that being independence and has my own opinion is good for me. But I'm not that good in academics. My PMR only 7A 1B 1E, SPM only manages to get 9 (11 if including English), I've failed 1119 and I've graduated from my bachelor degree with only 2.61. I'm not what you called excellenct in academics. But I'm proud to say that I can learn by myself each time I've got an assignment. And when I'm stuck, I always had Internet to search for the problems. Only when I really desperate, I asked someone else. I don't like to ask too many things to other people because I felt I owe them something. I don't like owing something to other people.

Do I want people to follow my footsteps? Yeah for good things. But I don't want people to follow the bad things that I've done. Being too independent made me rebellious and outspoken. I've hurt people feelings too many times. And I've argued with too many friends.

Oh, another think Minister, don't forget to build libraries around Malaysia. And stock the school libraries with good and enough books. And also teach the kids not too damage those books by telling them to love it. If it works for my brothers (yeah, one of them cut my book but only that one time) why it will not work for others?
