A group of 'hyena' and free salad

We went to Pizza Hut today at Tesco. Actually, we had something to buy there but in the end we had to cancel it.

We ordered the new pizza, Bigshot Prawn Pizza, I think. The waitress said the waiting time is about 17 minutes. During the waiting, there were a group of girls that eat in the same outlet. They talked and laughed quite a loud. They treated like the outlet is own by them. Siap tata, bye bye kuat-kuat lagi dalam tu. Damn.

After quite sometimes,

Pelayan : Kak, amik la salad dulu yea.

Wife aku : Kenapa?

Pelayan : Diaorang baru hantar list order kat belakang. Mesin rosak (refer to the mesin yang diaorang rekodkan order).

Wife : Berapa lama lagi kena tunggu?

Pelayan : Pizza dah masuk dalam oven dah.

My wife pun pegi amik salad and aku pesan supaya jangan amik banyak sangat. Yelah, dah makan sup dan breadstick, pastu kena makan piza lak walaupun regular je.

After some moment, piza pun sampai. Air aku pun dah abis. Tapi selamba je mintak tambah. Ha, siap dapat lak tu refill. Aku ingat waktu aku pegi dengan Hussein bila mintak tambah siap masuk dalam bil tu.

We eat but can't finished. We take away the other two slice and my wife eat it with Danial. Danial is a bit unwell and he didn't eat much at the Hadhanah. Luckily he ate the pizza quite a lot. Maybe because pizza taste 'nicer'.

My Life Story - How I manage to go to Japan fully sponsored?

Some of you readers (if I got any left) know that I went to Japan early 2007. As I mentioned the trip was fully sponsored by both USM and Japanese Government. The lodging and food was sponsored by Japanese Government while the sweaters were sponsored by USM (it was not really a sponsor but government officers can claim allowances to buy winter clothes if he go to colder countries during colder seasons).

The story on how I manage to go there was quite simple actually.

On middle 2006, my current boss went back from a two months training (or was it 2 weeks training?) and encouraged us to take an exam. The training he attended is about Malaysia IT Professional Exam (MITPE). The training was organized by METEOR and sponsored by AOTS. Like I mentioned, he encouraged us to take the exam because its free (at that time). He provided the materials and teach the classes. Being a lazy person (or busy - depends on what do you think of me), I didn't attend the classes.

Well, forward to the exam. The exam itself was quite challenging. Its not hard but challenging. The exam asked questions in every corner of IT field. From networking, programming, system development, system analysis & design, current trend in IT field, hardware and software and a lots more. Its got two papers and most people just managed to shake their head after finished answering the exam.

Fast forward to 2-3 months later. We've got the results. From 30-40 staffs and students taken the exam, only 4 passed. My boss, me and 2 staff and student from School of Computer Sciences. My feeling at that time? Of course I'm proud with my achievement. My boss usually told people about it and that's includes the VC. And as usual, the humble side of me played much role during those time. I managed to say, I got lucky or "Oh, its my duty to know everything about IT", or "Oh, the questions were same as in the books". Most of the time, I used the I got lucky phrase.

October 2006, someone from METEOR contacted me. She sent me forms and all sort of guidelines and informations about training in Japan. And she gave me 3 working days to fill all the forms and fulfilled the requirement asked in the forms. I went to PRO to get a brochure about my organization, I photostat-ed my IC, I managed to fill the form in 1 day but have to wait until next Monday to get my boss signature. But the thing was I managed to convince the METEOR staff that I can fax first the form then I will courier the forms and stuffs. I managed to send it on the third working days. Heh. I didn't thought I will get the reply but I still prayed that AOTS will allowed me to go to Japan.

December 2006, I've got the reply. Yeah, I've got to go to Japan but I have only 1 day to reply. I sign the form and submit it by fax and post. My flight was on 9th January 2007. And I need to go to Japanese consulate to make a visa for me. That December was very hectic for me.

1. I went to Immigration Department to make an international pasport. Yeah, I don't have one. I stressed to the officer I need it urgently because I need it to make a visa to go to Japan. The officer said "Ya, ya. Saya tahu. Datang esok. Siap esok." Melayang RM300 kot.

2. Went back to Immigration Department and took the passport. Went to Wisma-apa-ntah at Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah to make a visa. Yes, Japanese Consulate is at the wisma. What floor I didn't remember. The people manning the counter asked me to come back in 2-3 days.

3. Went back to get the visa.

4. Fill internal form and wrote letters to get a permission from VC to attend the training.

5. Wrote a letter to claim the allowances (they gave the allowances 2 weeks before I got back from Japan).

6. Still managed to do some work.

7. Fill the annual Laporan Penilaian Prestasi form.

8. The best thing was, I didn't get the flight ticket until after Christmas. The reason, there was a slight delay in getting the ticket. Yeah. And I need to went back to the Wisma-apa-ntah to get the ticket from the travel agency there.

9. Went shopping. Bought 1 sweater + 2 indoor sweaters + 2 new shirt + 1 new travel bag.

10. Went to money changer. Brought 20000 yen.

So, that's how I've got to go to Japan for the training. I admit that the training gave me certain exposure about the IT field. And also it make me acknowledge that I'm a sort of independent person. I can live and survived during my 6 weeks there without prior knowledge about AOTS, YKC, Yokohama itself, the district where YKC is located, the Tokyo and other things in Japan.

Maybe the other things that make me survived there because I met with Ghazaly, Hanum, Htet, Emma, A, Vincent, Rowen and Koko. There are 23 of us but I'm very closed to the persons that I mentioned above. Others are Walisa, B, Thuzar, Chart, Sukhi and of course his 3 friends from Mongolia, and 2 other guys from Philippines. I remember well their faces but I can't grasp their name from my long term memories.

The staffs at YKC also kind and nice. The counter staffs, the aunties and uncles at the dining hall (everytime we went there, they greeted us) that provided a very nice meal every single time, and of course Eguchi-san (our program coordinators). Living in Japan during winter was nice. Its colder than Malaysia but when the storm come, we were advised not to went out.

I still remember my time there. The 8.30 a.m - 4.30 p.m where we attended classes, the participation in green tea ceremony, my exploration around Tokyo and Yokohama, the food and the night where some of us played Counter Strike together and etc. It is truly the experience that I can't forget.

My childhood experience 1 - I hack my thumb

My childhood experience is nothing to shout about. Most of the time, I play alone or reading books/comics, babysitting my sisters or cousins, or most probably daydreaming.

It is one of that day, where it is started with me sitting at my uncle's garden reading some comics. I'm not sure those that read my blog remember the small comics that the manufacturer attached with their product. Usually candy or chocolates. Most of the time the comics were about Conan. Most of the time it was about fighting. I don't know why I enjoy reading that comics. Maybe at those time, books are quite rare (for me).

Then, I felt quite bored. Its nearly 6 I think. No many people at the house at that time. Only my aunt I think. My mom and dad, they went to Kuantan to buy something. I'm not sure where my grandmother and grandfather went. And as usual my other aunts and uncles they went with their friends somewhere. One of them playing football at the nearby football field (now it is become a 'Pasar Ramadhan' and 'Pekan Sehari' site).

I look for something to play. I saw a parang left by my uncle at the garden. I look for something to cut with the parang. I'm not sure what I found, but I happily cut the thing. I even amazed at how sharp the parang was. I cut, cut, cut then I accidentally cut my thumbnail. Into half. Blood was flowing but I'm cool with it. I never felt any pain (remember, the parang was sharp). I looked at my thumb especially the nail. At that time, I only thanked that I managed to keep the nail from falling.

I walked to the nearby pipe and washed the cut. I watched the blood flow with the water (that's why I at first disagree when my teacher said blood can't 'larut' in the water. I saw my blood 'larut dalam air'). After I managed to stop the blood from flowing, I went up into the house using the kitchen's door. I show the cut to my aunt. She take some gamat's oil and bandage. First thing she said, don't show to my mom and grandfather.

Yeah, I hide it but it was over during dinner. I eat with my grandfather. The secret was over when I wanted to take some 'lauk' to eat with the rice. My grandfather saw the bandage and after he eaten he opened it. He saw the cut and I've been given a series of lectures that night.

After that day, I still use parang and knife quite often but I used it carefully to make sure I didn't accidentally cut my thumbnail again. Oh, the nail finally decided to leave me 2-3 days later. The whole upper half of my thumbnail was gone. I proudly showed it to my friends afterward. :)

Zambry = Gandhi @ Nelson Mandela?

Aduih..Penin dah dgn kes kat Perak nih. There is an easy way out of this mess actually. Dissolve the Perak DUN. Simple but will cost a lot. But what I don't understand is, why it is too expensive to hold election in only one state? Perak bukannya hulu sangat.

Dude, come on. Gandhi and Mandela fight for years to free their people from unfair/oppressive/ttyranny government. While you dude, fight to defend your 'post' as Menteri Besar. You already an 'MB' while Gandhi and Mandela not even in the government, dude. Gandhi and Nelson Mandela have been in prisons for many years while I bet that you never even see the prison bar. So, dude (you will never read this entry), don't compare yourself to those fighters. They fight for freedom of their people while you fight for yourself.

I've been thinking. The MB's perks must be best right. If not, this politicians will not fight tooth and nail to get it.

Everytime I want to blog

Everytime I want to blog, I lost all the ideas. All the things that I've been thinking all lost everytime I login into blogspot. I wish there is a device that can read what I'm thinking and type it. Then it will post automatically to any blog that I put in the setting file. It must be easy right?

Danial jatuh

Danial jatuh dari sofa ke lantai tadi. Menangis teresak2. Puncanya dia berdiri atas sofa. Dah tegur suruh turun tapi biasalah bebudak. Tak kena memang tak serik. Tetiba dia nak turun dia tersilap langkah. Bedebuk tergolek sampai ke lantai. Tu lah. Nanti bila rumah dah siap, nak susun biar bagi jadik L shape. At least, sebelum diaorang tergolek, mesti diaorg dah campak bantal-bantal ke bawah. Lagi better terjatuh atas bantal dari atas lantai.

Nasib baik tak berdarah ke apa ke. Waktu mula-mula nak berjalan, Danial terjatuh gak. Pecah gusi. Darah meleleh-leleh keluar. Tapi nak kena check in case ada lebam ke apa ke. Tadi tengok gitu-gitu je. Sebab lepas tuh bawak dia tido.

Irfan cam biasa, nak tido lewat. Agaknya dia suka diberikan sepenuh perhatian pas abang Danial dia tido agaknya.

Kelas CCNA bermula

Hari nih bermulalah kelas CCNA bagi aku yang tak banyak knowledge dalam network. Hari pertama banyak refresh balik memori. Belajar tentang IP kelas A, B, C, D & E. Belajar tentang public & private IP. Belajar tentang OSI dan TCP/IP model. At least refresh balik la.

Kalau tak silap aku nih kali ketiga aku belajar secara official tentang OSI dan TCP/IP. First time waktu jadik student CS undergrad. Second time waktu nak amik MITPE. Third time waktu CCNA ni la. Harap-harap aku lulus la exam.

Malas sungguh nak memblog

Sekarang nih malas sungguh nak memblog. Bukan pe. Dok letih je memanjang sekarang nih. Lepas satu keja satu keja lagi buat. Lepas satu menda abih stadi, kena stadi menda lain lak. Lagipun bebudak dua orang tu bukannya baik lagi dari sakit. Walaupun Danial dah kurang batuknya, tapi kadang-kala batuk juga. Baru-baru ni Danial kena demam panas sangat sampai 39 darjah Celcius. Pastu kena demam campak 2-3 hari lepas tu. Pas tu Irfan lak kena demam campak. Irfan lagi la satu badan sampai ke muka naik campak. At least Danial badan je. So, nampak cam ruam je. Peliknya dari sape la bebudak nih jangkit demam campak nih.

Selain tu malas nak blog sebab jarang dah dok online malam-malam. Selalunya dok tengok tv atau baca buku. Tido cam biasa gak lewat. Kul 12 @ 1 pagi baru tido. Itu pun lepas bagi susu untuk Danial. At least kalau bagi susu time tuh, tak de la bangun awal sangat pagi-pagi. Jarang dah aku tido straight sampai pagi. Kalau tido pun kalau penat sangat.

Idea memang banyak nak blog. Nak luahkan rasa pun banyak. Nak menceritakan kegembiraan pun banyak. Tapi apakan daya, nak login blogger nih malas. Aduih.
